Inktech is pleased to announce that Motiur Rahman has joined our technical team as a Graduate Laboratory Technician, based at our Rochdale manufacturing site.

Motiur’s appointment is the result of a thorough recruitment process, professionally supported by Sarah Pollard, Graduate Opportunities Manager at Manchester Metropolitan University. Sarah’s expertise ensured we identified the right candidate with the ideal blend of technical skill, character, and practical fit for our business.

A recent graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, Motiur earned a First-Class Honours degree in BSc Chemistry. His strong foundational understanding of chemistry is already proving valuable as he steps into our ink manufacturing environment, where those principles will be put to the test daily.

Living close to Rochdale, Motiur has already settled well into the lab environment. He now begins a comprehensive training and induction programme, carefully supported by his fellow members of the Inktech technical team.

Initially, Motiur’s focus will be on Quality Control and Colour Matching – two critical areas when it comes to printing inks.

Inktech Appoints New QSHE Manager

We are pleased to announce that Sinead Morris, has joined Inktech as our new QSHE Manager.

Sinead will be based at our Rochdale ink manufacturing site and becomes a key member of the Inktech management team.

She joins us from a global consumer brand, where she held a QESH role, bringing with her a wealth of valuable manufacturing experience.

With professional qualifications including a NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety and HACCP Level 3 Sinead is exceptionally well-equipped for the QSHE role.

She has extensive experience in managing and overseeing the standards for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 along with BRC.

This week, the roar of engines and the smell of racing fuel replaced the usual work and production environments as our teams were treated to an adrenaline filled go-karting event. The mission was simple but vital, have some high-speed fun.

The local track was transformed into an arena of camaraderie and friendly competition, for the teams to battle it out on the asphalt.

From the moment the green flag dropped, the competition went up a notch where colleagues became competitors, navigating chicanes and jostling for position with laughter and good-natured banter echoing around the circuit. It was a great display of the same competitive spirit that drives our Inktech business forward, but with significantly more hairpin turns.

While every participant was a champion for taking part, one driver delivered a masterclass. Ben “Verstappen” Williams lived up to his unofficial nickname, by demonstrating breathtaking pace as Ben dominated the race, securing a stunning win and lapping every other colleague at least two to four times!

Beyond the thrilling race, the event continued with a team evening meal locally that was an enjoyable providing much-needed downtime and strengthening the morale within our teams. The local restaurant was filled with stories, shared laughs, and a collective sense of enjoyment that only a shared experience like this can create.

“The team has been firing on all cylinders this past year,” said Bryan Crennell – Managing Director. “They absolutely deserved this break. Seeing everyone let their hair down and connect outside of the plant gates was exactly what we hoped for. The energy was terrific. The event was such a hit that we plan to host it every year so we’re invest in our people and our culture, matching our INSPIRED company values”.

And for next year? The competition is already heating up. We’re introducing a special, tongue-in-cheek award: The “Spirit of Perseverance” Trophy, to be awarded to the driver who demonstrates the most… enthusiastic approach to track limits (or, in other words, who crashes the most!).
