This week, the roar of engines and the smell of racing fuel replaced the usual work and production environments as our teams were treated to an adrenaline filled go-karting event. The mission was simple but vital, have some high-speed fun.
The local track was transformed into an arena of camaraderie and friendly competition, for the teams to battle it out on the asphalt.
From the moment the green flag dropped, the competition went up a notch where colleagues became competitors, navigating chicanes and jostling for position with laughter and good-natured banter echoing around the circuit. It was a great display of the same competitive spirit that drives our Inktech business forward, but with significantly more hairpin turns.
While every participant was a champion for taking part, one driver delivered a masterclass. Ben “Verstappen” Williams lived up to his unofficial nickname, by demonstrating breathtaking pace as Ben dominated the race, securing a stunning win and lapping every other colleague at least two to four times!
Beyond the thrilling race, the event continued with a team evening meal locally that was an enjoyable providing much-needed downtime and strengthening the morale within our teams. The local restaurant was filled with stories, shared laughs, and a collective sense of enjoyment that only a shared experience like this can create.

Seeing everyone let their hair down and connect outside of the plant gates was exactly what we hoped for. The energy was terrific. And for next year? The competition is already heating up. We’re introducing a special, tongue-in-cheek award: The “Spirit of Perseverance” Trophy, to be awarded to the driver who demonstrates the most… enthusiastic approach to track limits (or, in other words, who crashes the most!).
